Questions you may have:

It's natural to have questions before deciding whether coaching is right for you. Here are answers to some of the questions I'm asked most often.

What is health and wellness coaching?

What is health coaching?

Health and wellness coaching provides the time and space to understand your health more clearly, recognise the patterns that influence how you feel, and develop realistic ways of supporting your wellbeing.

My role isn't to prescribe a perfect lifestyle or tell you what you should do. It's to work alongside you, combining my medical training and health coaching expertise to help you organise information, experiences and habits into something that makes sense for you.

What it is

  • Personalised one-to-one support.
  • Understanding the connections that influence your health.
  • Practical changes that fit your life.
  • Building confidence in your own decisions.

What it isn't

  • Strict or restrictive diets.
  • Quick fixes or short-term programmes.
  • A one-size-fits-all plan.
  • Being told what you "should" do.

What coaching feels like?

Our conversations begin with where you are now.

They create calm, trusted space for you alone to be heard, to slow down, reflect and recognise connections that are often difficult to see when you're carrying everything on your own.

It's to help you organise confusion into meaning, untangle habits built over decades, so that you can move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

How is your approach different?

Our coaching conversations together provide a confidential, judgement-free space to make sense of your health and move forward with greater confidence.

  • Understanding before action – We begin by making sense of what's happening rather than rushing to solutions.
  • Health that fits your life – Together we'll create realistic changes that work with your lifestyle, not against it.
  • Medical understanding with a coaching approach – My medical training helps me understand the wider context of health, while coaching helps you discover what works for you.
  • Lasting change – By helping you untangle habits and patterns built over decades, we create changes that are more likely to last.

What Health and wellness coaching is isn't?

Health and wellbeing coaching isn't about ignoring what hasn't worked before. It's about understanding it.

Many women arrive with a history of failed diets, rigid regimes, or approaches that have left them feeling frustrated, restricted, or disconnected from their own needs.

We don't judge those experiences or see them as failures. We learn from them.

Together, we explore the patterns, habits and beliefs that have developed over time, quieten the critical self-talk that often comes with them, and use that understanding to build a kinder, more sustainable path forward.

Health and wellbeing coaching isn't:

Strict, restrictive diets or regimes
Your health is not about following another set of rules. It's about understanding what supports your body and your life.

Quick fixes or temporary solutions
Lasting change comes from understanding why things have been difficult before and creating approaches that can work for you long term.

Being told what you should do
Coaching is a collaborative process. Together, we explore what matters most to you and what changes feel realistic and meaningful.

A replacement for medical care
Health coaching complements your existing healthcare by supporting reflection, understanding and sustainable lifestyle changes.

Is a consultation right for me?

A consultation may be right for you if you are a woman in midlife who feels that something has changed with your health, but you’re not sure how to make sense of it.

Perhaps you feel physically drained, are struggling with brain fog, noticing changes in your body, or finding yourself saying “I’m fine” when deep down you know something doesn’t feel quite right.

If you are ready to understand what is happening, explore what matters most to you, and consider a more sustainable way forward, a consultation is a gentle first step.

How do I book a consultation?

The first step is a free 30-minute consultation call.

To arrange your call, simply complete the short form below and I’ll be in touch to find a suitable time.

The consultation is an opportunity for us to talk about what has brought you here, what support you are looking for, and whether we feel we are a good fit to work together.

There is no obligation to continue. It is simply a chance to ask questions, see if we connect, and decide together whether coaching is the right next step.

If we decide to work together, I’ll guide you through the next steps, including completing a health questionnaire and reviewing the coaching agreement and programme details before we begin.

To arrange your free 30-minute consultation, simply complete the contact form on my Contact page.

Once I've received your enquiry, I'll be in touch to arrange a convenient time for us to speak.

Will it be a problem? - I'm on medication, I have a pre-existing health condition or I see a therapist?

Not at all. In fact, this is where my background can be particularly valuable.

As a medically qualified doctor and certified health and wellbeing coach, I understand how lifestyle, habits and behaviour change can work alongside conventional healthcare. However, I do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, prescribing or medical care.

As long as your condition is stable and appropriately managed by your GP, specialist, therapist, or other healthcare professional, health coaching can be a valuable complement to your existing care.

I do not alter prescribed treatment plans. Instead, we focus on building sustainable lifestyle habits that support your overall wellbeing, energy, confidence and long-term health goals.

Many people seek health coaching whilst managing concerns such as weight, blood pressure, blood sugar balance, stress, mood, hormonal changes, digestive health, chronic conditions of autoimmunity or inflammation and other long-term health challenges. Together, we focus on the day-to-day behaviours that can help you feel more in control of your health and wellbeing.

Where appropriate, I welcome collaboration with your existing healthcare providers to help ensure your coaching support is safe, cohesive and aligned with your wider health goals.

Ready to explore your health differently?

If this approach resonates with you, I’d be delighted to begin with a relaxed conversation about where you are now and what matters most to you.

There’s no pressure and no obligation — simply an opportunity to explore whether we are a good fit to work together.
