One-to-one support

Are you experiencing  burnout, brain fog or overwhelm?

Are you confused by the often conflicting health advise?

Have you been holding everything together at work, at home, and feel the weight of responsibility like a burden.

Or is your ability to cope being stretched by poor sleep,  fluctuating hormones and mounting stress.

The first step to healing is noticing.

Grant yourself that pause, the time to take notice.

Only then can you decide what action to take.

"Feeling like your body is broken" is not a place to stay.

So what next, medicine, supplements, yoga?

There is no one answer-

Mounting stressors, mounting symptoms,  are often interconnected.

Midlife women's health can feel complicated.

We can make sense of it all for you so that you can live more freely.

My Approach-

Recognise - Understand what is happening and identify the patterns affecting your health

Understand - Connect all the pieces and uncover what's keeping you stuck.

Rebuild - Develop the confidence, skills and self-trust to move forward.

Your unique  path

Why You? Why Me?

You already know more than you think you do.

Many women arrive feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and frustrated. They’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, tried the supplements and followed the advice, yet they still don’t feel like themselves.

What they are often missing is not more information.

They need help making sense of their experience.

Together, we look at the bigger picture. We identify patterns, uncover what may be keeping you stuck, and develop an understanding of what your body and mind are trying to tell you.

My role is to help you understand yourself well enough to trust yourself again.

Because when you understand what’s happening, you can make informed choices, take meaningful action, and move forward with greater confidence, clarity and ownership of your health.

Medical insight

Starting from where you are now, leveraging  my medical background and years of experience,  my approach integrates clinical knowledge with wellness principles and lifestyle medicine for informed decisions.

No fads, no woolly talk, just science-based holistic health, meeting you where you are at now and building a step-by-step approach to a healthier, happier you.

Health coaching requires effort and participation.

It isn't a quick fix.

It is helping you develop, arming you with the skills to break down the barriers holding you back from your full potential.

I don't use prescriptions nor do I recommend specific supplements, but I do help you work with your body, to become the change you want for yourself.

Perimenopause and menopause health is an important stage of life, often swept under the rug in the past. As women, we were designed to go through menopause. As life has become more complicated, so has the load we carry at this time of transition.

So, whether you have a health condition, are already taking medication or trying to avoid taking medication,  seeing a specialist,  as long as your condition is stable, my approach can work for you.

Empowering Women-

Engaging women with awareness, building confidence to share, enabling the health of the next generation.

Designed to equip you with practical tools and knowledge for managing your health, fostering a community of family and friends, of support and growth.

The principles of good health are the same across the generations.

We share a unique stage of hormonal turmoil and self-discovery with our teens. As grown women, we are expected to have the tools to deal with this uninvited change.

Knowledge, support and understanding are basic foundational principles for stable growth. Together we can grow and achieve.

Know you are not alone, learn to follow your bodies natural signals (Your biology),  develop self sovereignty and reconnect with the energy and capacity you were designed to feel

Early Symptoms of Perimenopause

The first question we frequently ask ourselves is,-

" Is this perimenopause or is it something else?"

Often, there is no easy answer.

Perimenopause is defined as;

The transition phase leading up to menopause, during which your ovaries gradually produce less oestrogen. It typically begins around age 43 (sometimes in the late 30s).

It typically starts with irregular periods, sometimes lighter, sometimes heavier, with or without clots, often more painful than we are used to.

It can last for a few years to over a decade.

Blood hormone testing is notoriously an unreliable tool at this early stage, as female hormone levels can fluctuate hourly, daily and monthly.

Normal diagnosis is usually made based on your age, the pattern of your menstrual cycle and a review of your symptoms.

Hormone receptors are found throughout our body.

  • Oestrogen and progesterone act on various systems, both the obvious of breasts, ovaries, vagina, uterus and pelvic floor to
  • brain, bones, skin, liver, gut, salivary glands, even our cardiovascular system and fat cells.

That's why a diagnosis is difficult in early perimenopause.

And that's why you can feel changes through your body.

So, what should you do?

Key Symptoms

  • I advise to keep a symptom tracker. This will be your book of evidence, your recognition tool, to help you recognise that it's not "All in your mind".   This is real, it is confusing, and understandably so.
  • Remember to also add any mood changes- whether that is more irritability, "premenstrual rage", insomnia, mood swings and "brain fog."
  •  Share your concerns with loved ones. They can provide support or at least be reassured that it is not a reaction to something they have done and react in defence.
  •  Seek information. There are many resources out there.
  • Sexual desire and intimacy can become strained. The added impact on sleep, stress, worry, mood instability, breast tenderness, vaginal dryness and decreased lubrication can make intercourse more difficult.
  • Remember, you can still get pregnant. Your ovulation is more unpredictable, so normal cycle-tracking can be out of sync.
  • A balanced, nutrient-rich diet including healthy fats and increased protein can help.
  • Resistance training, mind/body practices like yoga, stress reduction and good sleep(which can be particularly challenging) help.
  • Visit your doctor to discuss or rule out any other conditions. Discuss whether HRT is an option.
  • Non- hormonal options to tackle specific symptoms like hot flashes or CBT for mood and anxiety.

Remember, this might not be perimenopause.

Other conditions or stressors might be causing your symptoms.

Learn to trust your gut. Keep a record.

If in doubt, get it checked out.

Important: The symptoms listed above are common experiences reported in women's health during perimenopause, but they can also be associated with other health conditions. If you are concerned about your symptoms, or if they are new, severe, or worsening, please seek advice from your GP or other appropriate healthcare professional. Midlife health is more than menopause.

"Andrea never simply gave me the answers-she guided me to find them within myself. She encouraged me to reflect, expand my thinking, and explore what I could do. She saw me as a whole person- not just as someone who wanted to lose weight"
